The Live and Local, Music and Art on the Plaza continues in its spring series with Steph Stewart and the Boyfriends.
The group is quickly becoming a prominent fixture in the North Carolina music scene, playing several local festivals and sharing bills with nationally touring acts.
In May 2013, ReverbNation selected the quartet to play the Carrboro Block Party at Cat’s Cradle, headlined by Lost in the Trees. Around the same time, they were nominated for Best Americana Performer at July’s Carolina Music Awards and continue to receive praise for the Stewart-penned “Wake Me Carolina,” a recent finalist in Our State magazine’s songwriting contest.
You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chair to watch the performances. This event is free for all ages.
